How can I tell who is a staffer/volunteer?
All volunteers will be wearing a bright colored shirt with “VOLUNTEER” displayed on the back. All staff members will be wearing a colored polo shirt with a Luminary or event specific logo on the left chest.
Why are all sales final?
This is a fairly common question and simply put, ticket sales are used to cover costs for event venues, staffing, celebrity guests, etc. Most of these costs are upfront and non-refundable and in order to ensure a great experience for all attendees we have to keep this standard policy in place.
Why are tickets non-transferable?
Tickets are non-transferable for many reasons, but primarily to prevent scalping. When tickets are purchased, you must provide the attendee’s name and that name must match the attendee’s State or Federally issued ID upon package pickup at Registration.
Also, our events often use RFID and QR scanning systems to track individual ticket sales such as Autographs, Photo Ops, VIP Access, etc. which are tied to individual registrations. Once an attendee’s information is loaded into the system, it is very difficult to change.
Will celebrity Guests personalize my autograph?
In most cases autographs may be personalized, but it is dependent on the preference of the individual celebrity Guest.
Will tickets be mailed?
All tickets will be available for pickup at registration in one convenient package. Mailing packages to each attendee can drive up costs and we want to pass this savings on to you. This also helps avoid losing anything in the mail. Follow the link here for registration times.
What types of payment are accepted at Luminary events?
Currently, we are only able to accept Cash and Credit/Debit Cards at our events. (Please Note: Personal checks will not be accepted at any events.)
Why do I have to pay a service fee?
Service fees cover ticket and credit card processing fees.
How many attendees may appear in one photo-op?
Only two (2) attendees may be in one photo-op at any time.
Why are celebrity Guests always with Security or Handlers?
We want everyone to feel safe at our events including our celebrity Guests. Security is there to ensure their safety as well as our attendees. You may also notice that celebrity Guests also have ‘Handlers’ (an assistant) to help keep them on schedule and take care of their needs during events. Security and Handlers help to make sure our events go off smoothly and safely.
Will (she/he) be appearing?
As with most events, the schedule can change at any time leading up to and during an event. We update our website and social media properties as soon as possible when changes to schedules occur or as we contract new celebrity Guests. Be sure to check these sites often to stay updated.
What if I want to suggest a celebrity Guest?
We love to hear your suggestions! Please feel free to send them using our contact page and we’ll keep them in mind. Also, check out the Guests page often to keep up with current announcements.
Will I be able to take personal photos with celebrity Guests?
Unfortunately, due to contractual obligations, celebrity Guests are not able to take photos with attendees outside of Photo Op sessions. Additionally, we want to be fair to those attendees that have purchased a Photo Op ticket. If you would like a professional photo with one of our celebrity Guests you must purchase a Photo Op ticket. (Please Note: Use of personal or cell phone cameras during Luminary events is strictly prohibited unless approved by event management.)
Good News! If you want to have a more personal “selfie” style photo with one or more of our celebrity Guests, you can always purchase a ticket to one of our Private Meet & Greet sessions! This is the only time we allow the use of personal and cell phone cameras.
Will I be able to speak with celebrity Guests during my Photo Op?
You are definitely encouraged to greet our celebrity Guests during your photo-op! Just remember, we want everyone to have a great experience, so please keep in mind that we have a lot of attendees who need to have photos taken in a short amount of time. Say hi and then say cheese! If you would like more one-on-one time with the celebrity Guests consider purchasing a Private Meet & Greet or VIP party experience ticket.
Will my photo be printed in time for me to get it autographed?
We try our best to have photos printed before autograph sessions. Unfortunately, printing takes some time so we cannot guarantee they will be ready before your session.
